2nd life brief : Development
Surface pattern design of chrysalis & butterfly imagery created via acetate silkscreen. The 2nd layer of surface pattern design placed onto sustainable scrim using pre prepared purple silkscreen ink.
The silkscreen of 2 textile boards sized A2 are completed using card to block damage to1st layer imagery. The A2 textile boards put on drying rack and silkscreen textile placed in drying cupboard. The silkscreen workstation cleaned up.
The 3rd Silkscreen sized A3 left aside for possible print brief requirement of mounting printwork.

BAD21 CREATIVE PRACTICE WORKSHOP
Workshop 3D materials, techniques, tools & machinery. Brief constructed text 3D representation of chosen word "cocoon".
Development Stage:-
Individual letters constructed in polystyrene wrapped in mod rock are wrapped in various coloured plastic netting mesh around each letter. Heat gun distrots & distressed wrapped plastic netting mesh to represent the cocoon opening.
2nd layer of differing coloured plastic netting mesh pocketed around letters achieved with the soldiering iron & steel ruler to seal sides of plastic netting mesh. Inserted individual letters into plastic netting mesh before closing all the sides. Heat gun sealed plastic netting mesh to create cocoon aesthetic.
