PDP UPDATE 1 WEEK 2 GO / DEVELOPMENT OF APPLIED PRACTICE

PDP & APPLIED PRACTICE BAD22

A3 Page Template marked with chalk. 
 Use thread for size of metal rod .

Tutor working with
6 mm ring section & bar
place rod in vice to bend to right angle

Vice
Straighten bar by vice & hammer.  Cut excess rod with bolt cutters. 


Tutor :- Welding
( Health & Safety requirements) 

Weld together to create metal rod pages
6 rods shaped into A3 sized pages

 2 of the A3 sized rods are the front and back cover
4 of the A3 sized rods for pages



The Curve Bindings for the book Spine
Bindings template ark shape marked out in chalk

The rod's bent shape achieved with Bend Fork.

Gently push the rod until the template ark is matched.

The spine bindings attached by welding to angled A3 iron pages

Flat Metal Bars

Measure out the Flat bar
Marked out in chalk 4 holes of equal distance
The drill bores 4 holes together
  

Add metal studs to lift up the book spine.
The shorter metal rods need more room to move


Bend 8 shorter metal rods



Weld shorter metal rods to A3 metal sheet at the top and bottom
