Reading Week
Critical & Contextual Studies
A reading week for the essay draft was greatly needed. The recycling essay reviewed feedback from tutor and so we are ready and willing to put the graft into make this essay the next best seller ha! The graft is going to be a literal grind as the old laptop seems to be making similar noises.
The draft 3,000 word essay focus will be on recycling. So when I ask the tutor what do you think of the essay so far, lets hope the tutor doesn’t give the Eric Morecombe reply. The essay with references needs to be given time to ensure the correct format layout information.
After the reading week, a return to the college allowed access to the computer programme that reads the text of the essay. The computer programme takes time to learn and to listen to text. As the essay was due on Friday time was limited. I will need to investigate how to get access to this programme at home.
Friday 31 January was hand in day for the draft essay. Fingers crossed

Studio Practice 1
2nd Brief
The Emperor’s New Clothes
The grades were posted in the classroom with a pass for Finding Truth. The tutor feedback for the project was arranged for a later date. So I will need to wait to find out if the text reading computer programme made any difference to the Statement of Assessment grade.
PDP
I received tutor feedback of the project so far. I was so glad to get good news and get the confidence boost at this mid-way point.
A few pointers to improve the grade prediction but whoopee!
The new brief issued for the 2nd phase of PDP. The individual Brief for yours truly reflects the Part time status of the Degree. As a part time student I will not be participating in Studio Practice 2, the final project for the exhibition.
The amended brief requirements are similar to my BAD3 full time comrades. Exception of my inclusion of a professional mini portfolio and exclusion from Part 2 and with a different deadline date of 14.05.14
