Week Beginning 16 June 2014 – Making the grade

Ideas for Exhibition presentation Mounts

Lucky for me a technical hitch with the part time student grading can be fixed.  The tutor was contacted via Canada and confirmed a pass for yours truly.
The IT system will hopefully record the part time student grades officially before next term to avoid any further hitches.

Week beginning – 9 June 2014 – Posting of Results – woes of a part time Student

Count down to Glasgow Commonwealth games begins !

Posting of Results – woes of a part time Student
PDP
The PDP results posted in Stirling Campus corridor but due to personal circumstances I had to wait until the letter dropped through the door.
The letter contents had a list of all the degree units so far.  The good news is all the hard work for PDP paid off with a good pass.
Critical and Contextual Studies
The bad news is that there is no listing in the letter for the essay.  I had thought a few points would be given for getting my name right at least.
I realised that the college IT technology can have difficulties with part time students.  So with great trepidation phone the college to make enquiries.
Lucky for me the letter was wrong.  The College IT system has not registered the grade for part time students.  The college are getting in touch with the tutor to find out the grade result.
A little bit peeved that as part time student I am omitted yet again from the system.
A little Plea
As a part time student please can I receive the same information as my full time colleagues.

Week beginning – 2nd June 2014 – the term ending is a happy one!

So for better or worse the Final recycling essay has been checked for errors and handed in to the tutor.
The focus of the recycling essay was ‘make do and mend’ and upcycling practices.  It’s funny how you notice more articles on the subject after the final essay is handed in.
Green wedding couples say no to something new More choose to cut costs and help planet by recycling for big day” Jane Bradley - Sourced: Scotland on Sunday June 8 2014 p. 20

As my fellow 3rd year colleagues finish off their studies with an exciting exhibition I wish them well with their future careers.
As for yours truly, as a part time student, Let’s hope that this year’s grades  will allow my progression.
All being equal, and barring any unexpected occurrences I will return to complete the degree.
