The technique of slash and burn is a metaphor for the layers of lies that distort the truth in the story of “the Emperor’s New Clothes”.

Week 15 – Presentations galore!

 Layers of 3 fabric paints added to the textile composition of hand drawn gutta baby faces.  The imagery isolated with masking fluid prevents colour bleeding into composition.

Critical & Contextual Studies
A Gallery visit to Edinburgh arranged for degree students led to the cancelation of the Petcha Kutcha PowerPoint presentation. The Draft presentation has been delayed until after New Year.
 A practice work shop with the timed presentation gave an opportunity to gain my first experience of this mode of presentation and to receive feedback.

This week commenced with the old mobile phone joining the  digital camera in that scrapyard of broken technology.  They say these things come in 3s

The time plan extended deadline by 1week. 
The project's main idea: layering colour and materials. 
The project’s concept is a child finding truth in layers of deceit.  
Concept ideas from sketches and photographic images of children led to concept development.

In the story of “Emperor’s New Clothes” a child points to out the truth that the emperor has no clothes on.

PDP
The update of CV and artist statement has been completed and added into the website.  The website' construction  continues with the final  touches of  inserting portfolio &  community project imagery.
The stationary of business card, business letter head, compliment slip and invoice has been completed on computer programme publisher.  
 The  Promotion and Presentation PowerPoint needs to be ready for next week. 
Critical & Contextual Studies
The tutor reviewed the story board of the proposed Draft Power Point Presentation and has suggested some amendments. 
The tutor has given the good news that the Draft Power Point Presentation date has changed to next Friday.  So I will be doing another PowerPoint practice session.  Fun!
